Gerald "Bud" T. Deeken, age 82 of Linn, passed away, Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Linn Living and Rehab Center.
Bud was born May 17, 1933, in Martinsburg, a son to the late August and Henrietta (Renneke) Deeken.
Bud attended Potts School and later served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Bud worked for MODOT as a highway maintenance worker until his retirement. He also enjoyed farming.
Bud is survived by: two sisters Tharsilla "Pat" Lieneke of Holts Summit and Marie Jean "Sis" Lieneke and her husband Marvin of Hermann; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Deeken of Jefferson City and Mary Ruth Deeken of Linn as well as 9 nieces and 6 nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by: two brothers, Wilbert and Norbert Deeken; two sisters, Louise Erickson and Berniece Joyce; two brothers-in-law, Herbert Lieneke and Hadley Joyce, as well as two infant sisters.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Morton Chapel In Linn with Fr. Daniel Merz officiating.
