Florentine D. Dill

Florentine D. Dill, age 85, of Rich Fountain, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Westphalia Hills.

Florentine was born on November 29, 1931, in Osage County, a daughter to the late Joseph and Christine (Bauer) Eisterhold.

Florentine attended Sacred Heart Catholic School.

On November 26, 1953, she was united in marriage to Norbert J. Dill, Sr., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2016.

Before Florentine was married, she worked at International Shoe Factory in Jefferson City for four years. She spent the remainder of her life being a loving wife and mother.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality.

Florentine enjoyed baking cookies, cakes and pies, gardening and canning, and making her famous fried chicken. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Florentine is survived by: four sons, Stanley Dill of Rich Fountain, David Dill and his wife Lona of Linn, Norbert Dill and his wife Christy of Rich Fountain and Gregory Dill of Rich Fountain; one daughter, Christine C. Fick and her husband Kenneth of Rich Fountain; 5 grandchildren, Derek Fick and his fiancée Kelly Tappel, Jennifer Fick, Erin Fick, Tracy Dill and Katrina Dill and her fiancé Eric Falter, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her spouse of 62 years and her parents, Florentine was preceded in death by: one brother, Merwin Eisterhold; and two sisters, Zita Holterman and Corona Wieberg.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with Fr. William Debo as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
