Evlyn Avis Knoll, age 87 of Linn, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
Evlyn was born July 22, 1929, in Ventura, CA, a daughter to the late Curney and Virginia (Counts) White.
Evlyn was a graduate of Affton High School in St Louis.
On April 6, 1951, she was united in marriage to Clyde Knoll in Little Rock. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2007.
Evlyn and her husband, Clyde, were owner/operators of John Knoll Florist in Imperial before retiring in 1986 and moving to Linn.
Evlyn enjoyed wood carving and making countless braided rugs but caring for her grandchildren was her greatest love.
Evlyn is survived by: one daughter, Pat Knoll and her husband John Trenshaw of Linn; one sister, Marilyn Fisher and her husband Bud of Columbia; two grandchildren, Aaron J. (Renee) Trenshaw
of Overland Park, KS and Kyle F. (Mike Van Wert) Trenshaw of Victor, NY; two great grandchildren, Faye Ann and Alexander David Van Wert; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and spouse of 55 years, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John White and Bryan White.
In keeping with Evlyn’s wishes she will be cremated and no services will be held. Inurnment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
