Esther Louise Hoener, age 100 of Linn, MO passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the Westphalia Retirement Center.
She was born on April 5, 1908 in Feuersville, Missouri to the late Adolph and Mary Louise (Biere) Kraenow, Sr.
On June 8, 1933, Esther was united in marriage to Albert Herman Hoener. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1977.
Esther was a homemaker and a life long member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church in Bay, Mo. She was an avid quilter and loved flowers and gardening.
Survivors include: two sons, Maurice and his wife, Jane Hoener of Linn, and Leroy Adolph and his wife, Carol Hoener of Hermann.; three daughters, Janice and her husband Jack Walker of Jefferson City, Shirley Leimkuehler of Linn, Joyce and her husband, Leon Helling, also of Linn; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; two daughter-in-laws, Bonney Hoener and Denise Hoener both of Jefferson City; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Wilton, Donald and Ralph Hoener; seven brothers, Henry, Bernard, Eugene, Adolph Jr., John, Alvin and Herman Kraenow; one grandson, Robby Hoener; a son-in-law, George Leimkuehler and a daughter-in-law, Doeleda Hoener.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Morton Chapel in Linn.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Bethel Salem Presbyterian Church in Bay, Mo., with Rev. Joe Trower officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Church Cemetery.
