Emma W. Hilkemeyer, 89 of Loose Creek, Mo., passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Westphalia Retirement Center.
She was born September 22, 1918 in Loose Creek to the late Charles and Louise (Porting) Lock.
Emma attended school in Loose Creek. She was a homemaker and had worked as a cook for over 25 years at the Immaculate Conception School.
On November 20, 1943, Emma was married to Gilbert G. Hilkemeyer in Las Vegas, NV. He survives of the home.
Emma was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek, a member of the St. Ann's Sodality and the Quilters Circle.
Additional survivors include, three daughters: Lynn and her husband, Bob Behn of Los Angeles, CA, Paula Hilkemeyer of Kansas City and Becky Hilkemeyer of Kansas City, one son; John and wife Sue Hilkemeyer of Jefferson City. Five grandchildren, Neil Hilkemeyer, Ben Hilkemeyer, Nathan Hilkemeyer, Laura Hilkemeyer and Chris Behn.
She was preceded in death by one son Joe Hilkemeyer.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Morton Chapel in Linn with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek with Father Charles Pardee as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Immaculate Conception School.
