Douglas Wayne Stieferman

Douglas Wayne Stieferman, age 59, of Frankenstein, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

 

Doug was born on July 21, 1962, in Jefferson City, the son of Donald and Betty (Bossaller) Stieferman, who survive in Frankenstein.

 

Doug was a 1980 graduate of Fatima High School.   

 

On June 21, 1986, he was united in marriage to Paula Dudenhoeffer at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein.  Paula survives at their residence.

 

Doug was employed with Central Electric Power Cooperative for over 30 years.  He was also founder and part owner of Stieferman Construction Services, LLC.

 

Doug was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein and the Bonnots Mill Knights of Columbus Council.

 

Doug enjoyed fishing, camping or just being outdoors with his labrador retrievers.  He loved to teach his grandsons to fish and run the boat.  He was very mechanically inclined always able to fix anything.  He was quick witted and loved to spend time with his family.

 

In addition to his parents and spouse of 35 years, Doug is survived by: two sons, Brad (Bethann) Stieferman and Brian (Hailey) Stieferman both of Frankenstein; two grandsons, Elliott and Preston Stieferman; two brothers, Dan (Christine) Stieferman of Bonnots Mill and Dave (Melissa) Stieferman of Independence, Iowa; a sister, Doris Stieferman of Greensboro, North Carolina;  his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Jerome (Mary) Dudenhoeffer of Frankenstein, Jane (Elmer) Senevey of Linn, Wayne (Joann) Dudenhoeffer of Chamois, Lori (Jr) Bruemmer of Wardsville, John (Ev) Dudenhoeffer of Chamois, Gerrie (Mike) Schaefer of Linn, Marvin (Ruth) Dudenhoeffer of Frankenstein, Diana (Fred) Mengwasser of Loose Creek; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.     

 

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Fr. Colin P. Franklin as the Celebrant.  Interment will be in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery.

 

Please note: Hwy 100 coming from Linn will be closed starting Monday. If you are coming to the funeral mass, please take Hwy A to Bonnots Mill then turn on Hwy C to go to Frankenstein.

 

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the wishes of the family or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
