Dorothy Mebruer, 81, of Pacific and Union, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Washington surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born on October 6, 1938, a daughter to the late Loretta (Nilges) Branson.
Dorothy attended St. George Catholic School in Linn.
On January 26, 1957, Dorothy was united in marriage to Edwin Mebruer in St. Louis. Edwin preceded her in death on December 6, 2006.
Dorothy worked as a dietitian for DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton for over 20 years. She also was a licensed Cosmetologist.
Dorothy was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church in Pacific.
Dorothy enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family as well as her sweet little dog, Bella.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Glen Mebruer and his wife Karen of Union and Gary Mebruer and his wife Dena of Bowling Green; daughter-in-law, Teresa Mebruer of Pacific; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and spouse of 49 years, Dorothy was preceded in death by two sons, Roger and Kelly Mebruer.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William Debo as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
