Donald "Don" W. Reinkemeyer, age 73, of Freeburg passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009 at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
Don was born August 27, 1935 in Kansas City, MO a son to the late Walter and Verna (Nilges) Reinkemeyer. He graduated from Fatima High School and from Linn Technical College.
He was a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Don worked for the Missouri Department of Correction as a prison guard. He enjoyed flying ultra light airplanes and motorcycling riding. Don was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Rich Fountain.
Survivors include; twin daughters; Elicette and Jeanette Reinkemeyer of the state of Idaho, two brothers, Richard Reinkemeyer of Bonne Terre and Clarence Reinkemeyer of Freeburg; four sisters, Mary Lou Zeilman of Freeburg, Betty Frank and her husband Joe of Linn, Laura Luebbert and her husband Casper of Linn and Linda Fernandez and her husband Sergio of Westphalia as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 5:00pm until time of the memorial service at 7:00pm.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Sacred Heart Church in Rich Fountain with Fr. Philip Niekamp officiating.
