Donald R. Johnson, age 67 of Chamois, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024, at his home.

Donald was born July 30, 1956, in York, PA, a son to the late Albert Eugene and Mary Estella (LaFever) Rademacher.

Donald joined the Navy at the age of 17 at the end of the Vietnam Conflict.

On February 21, 1976, Donald was united in marriage to Aneta Busch in St Ann, Mo when they were both 19 years old. They were married for 47 years and Aneta survives of the home.

Donald stayed in the Navy for four years and then went to work at Westinghouse. He re-enlisted in the Navy to be able to go to school to learn a trade as a Bio Med Tech.   He went to sea with the Navy for two tours. 

After leaving the Navy, Donald took a job as a Bio Med Tech at SSM Healthcare. He worked there for 35 years before retiring in 2021.

Donald was loyal to his wife and to his family. He was a good kind and loving husband and father.

Donald enjoyed watching sports and going fishing as well as the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by, his daughters, Amanda Newcomb and her husband Shawn of Chamois and Melissa Johnson of St. John, MO, grandchildren, Leslie (Jacob) Reicher, Kyle and Colton Newcomb, Haylee and Jacob Einfeldt and Angelo Schroder, great grandchildren, Cassie, Natalie, Abby and Lorilie, brothers, Captain William Johnson and Anthony Johnson, sister Bonita Owens as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by, one daughter, Melinda Einfeldt, one sister Cynthia Roth, a brother, William Albert Rademacher and a niece, Kimberly Clink.

Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the Oklahoma Church of Christ Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the church basement.
