Dale Caldwell

Dale ""Cobby"" Caldwell, age 70 of Linn, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

He was born November 13, 1937 in Elvins, Missouri to the late Raymond G. and Esther E. (Rinke) Caldwell. He graduated from Esther High School in 1955. He graduated from Flat River Junior College in 1957 and graduated from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in Indianapolis, IN in 1959.

Dale was the co-owner of the Caldwell Funeral Home in Flat River, Missouri for many years prior to his retirement in 1986. He also owned and operated Caldwell Monument Company in Park Hills, Missouri for a number of years.

On June 30, 1956 he married Bonnie F. Sirclum in Elvins, Missouri. She survives of the home.

He was member of the Linn Family Worship Center in Linn and a volunteer at the Linn Senior Center.

Additional survivors include four sons; Jeff and wife, Robin Caldwell of Linn, Joe and wife, Sherri Caldwell of Linn, Jon and wife, Carolyn Caldwell of Bonne Terre and Jamie and wife, Lisa Caldwell of Linn. One brother, David P. Caldwell of Desloge and one sister, Betty Clemons of Desloge. Eleven grandchildren: Courtney and husband Scott Stout, Camille Caldwell, Jarrod and wife, Anna Caldwell, Justin Caldwell, Jake Caldwell, Emma Caldwell, Sam Caldwell, Blair Caldwell, Seth Caldwell, Lindsey Roark and Nicole Roark. Five great-grandchildren: Eli Stout, Sophia Stout, Shawn Roark, Koen James Caldwell and Shia Matthew Stout along with many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Caldwell and Raymond ""Bud"" Caldwell and two sisters; Jane Qualls and Polly Adams.

Visitation will be 4-7pm Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Morton Chapel in Linn, Missouri.
Visitation will also be held 4-8pm Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills, Missouri with the Rev. Glenn Holem officiating. Interment will follow at the Parkview Cemetery in Farmington, Missouri.
