Clifford J. Peters

Clifford J. Peters, age 86 of Linn, Mo. passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Autumn Meadows Skilled Care Center in Linn.

He was born on February 19, 1923 in Frankenstein to the late Francis X. and Myrtle (McKnight) Peters.

Clifford was a World War II Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific

On May 18, 1946 he was united in marriage to Everen B. Suess in Frankenstein. She survives of Linn.

Clifford was a member of St. George Church and V.F.W. Post #4756. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Clifford is survived by: two sons, Raymond and his wife Linda Peters of Westphalia and Patrick and his wife Charlene Peters of Linn; two daughters, Bonnie and her husband Larry Tschappler of Linn and Debbie and her husband Paul Horton of Bonnots Mill; nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Morton Chapel in Linn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. George Church with Fr. I.C. Medina officiating. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
