Clemens “Clem” H. Rudroff, age 89, of Rich Fountain, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
Clem was born on June 13, 1931, in Rich Fountain, a son to the late Joseph and Catherine (Bock) Rudroff.
Clem attended Sacred Heart School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Clem was employed at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Rich Fountain for 32 years from 1988 until his retirement in 2020. Clem’s face would light up when he saw the kids.
Clem was a very active lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain, Rich Fountain Knights of Columbus and the Paul E. Hasenbeck American Legion Post #317 of Freeburg.
Clem was a lifelong farmer raising black angus cattle on the ancestral Rudroff family farm. He could be found most mornings at the Men’s Coffee Club in Rich Fountain. He enjoyed visiting with friends, family and neighbors.
Clem is survived by one brother, Elmer Rudroff and his wife JoAnn of Florissant; nieces and nephews, Ronda Schomburg, Randy Rudroff, Marcie Egilsrud, Greg Rudroff, Linda Antonacci, Kathleen Kamp, Carol Stewart and their spouses; along with many great nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, Clem was preceded in death by two brothers, Felix “Flicker” Rudroff and Peter Rudroff; one sister, Dorothy Rudroff, two sisters-in-law, Rose Rudroff and Frances Rudroff, and a niece, Monica Rudroff.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon with Fr. William Debo as Celebrant. Interment with Full Military Honors will be in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School or for Masses.
