Carl "Shaggy" Zeilman

Carl “Shaggy” Zeilman, age 64 of Rich Fountain, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.

Carl was born September 6, 1960, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Edwin and Mary Lou (Reinkemeyer) Zeilman. 

Carl was a 1978 graduate of Fatima High School. 

He was employed for 31 years with the State of Missouri working in the Office of Administration Print Shop until his retirement in 2017. Carl was also employed part-time with Gerbes in Jefferson City and retired in February 2024. 

Carl was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain and a member of the Rich Fountain Knights of Columbus where he was a past Grand Knight.

Carl was an avid bowler having two 300 games and loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. He also enjoyed socializing, playing cards and watching any sporting events.

Carl is survived by: two brothers, Kenneth (Renee) Zeilman of Rich Fountain and Glenn (Shelly) Zeilman of Rich Fountain; a sister, Sandy (Ronnie) Bock of Rich Fountain; a foster sister, Debbie Meyer of Hollister; eight nieces and nephews, Brooke (Nick) Vieth, Erin (Bryce) Gehlert, Allison (Ethan) Olson, Annie (Jon) Wyatte, Tony (Fiancée JoDee Massman) Bock, Meghan (Brent) Gentges, Nick (Andria) Zeilman, and Tom (Payton) Zeilman; 13 great nieces and nephews with 3 on the way, along with many friends. 

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. William Debo and Rev. James Finder as Concelebrants. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Sacred Heart School.
