Carl Edward Morland

Carl E. Morland, age 71, of Chamois, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011, at his residence.

Carl was born July 4, 1940, in Holts Summit, a son to the late Harry and Clare (Michaels) Morland.

Carl attended a rural school near Holts Summit.

On December 30, 1961, Carl was united in marriage to Marjorie M. Stockhorst in Jefferson City.
She survives of the home.

Carl had worked in the construction industry, was a truck driver and most recently, a farmer.

Carl enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and staying at home with family.

In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by: one daughter, Judy Grothoff and her husband David of Holts Summit; one brother, Andrew Morland of Holts Summit; two sisters, Mary Durham of Jefferson City, and Janet Barker of Holts Summit; six grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two sons, Robert C. Morland and Gerry Morland; two grandchildren, Matthew and Megan Morland; and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Morland.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Interment will follow at St. George Parish Cemetery.
