Carl Malan

Carl Malan, age 83 of Linn, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023, at his residence.

Carl was born January 30, 1940, in Linn, a son to the late Felix and Georgie (Baclesse) Malan.

He was a 1958 graduate of Linn High School. 

On July 8, 1980, he was united in marriage to Mildred Porting Russell in Valdosta, Georgia.  She preceded him in death on December 27, 2021.

Carl retired from McKay Buick in Jefferson City as an autobody repair man.

He enjoyed deer hunting, his dogs, going for drives, finding a “Deal” at rummage sales and flea markets, and working on his old cars.

Carl is survived by one sister, Bernice Helle of Jefferson City, along with other family and friends.

In addition to his spouse and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, F. Arnold Malan and Kenneth Malan.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Linn Public Cemetery. 

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Linn Public Cemetery.
