Bobby Lee Crackel, age 93 of Linn, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.
Bobby was born on January 17, 1930, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois a son to the late Carl and Mary (Miller) Crackel.
Bobby was a 1948 graduate of Afton High School in south St. Louis. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
On June 11, 1954, he was united in marriage to Ernestine Grissom in St. Louis. She survives in Owensville.
Bobby retired from Chrysler as a plant manager. He attended First Baptist Church in Linn and was a member of Poplar Bluff Masonic Lodge #209 and he was a Shriner.
Bobby enjoyed fishing, bowling, working on puzzles and watching science fiction television shows. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 68 years, he is survived by one daughter, Jana Stahlhuth and her husband Mark of Linn; three grandchildren, Amelia McCleary and her husband Mitchell of Jefferson City, Mary Stahlhuth of Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington, and Rebekah Maples of Kansas City, Missouri; two great grandsons, Jackson and Callum McCleary; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Roy Crackel.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Linn with Funeral Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. David Krueger, officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in the Linn Public Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief Fund.
