Beverly Emma Myers

Beverly Emma Myers, age 85 of Linn, peacefully went to live with her heavenly Father on Saturday, March 8, 2025, surrounded by her adoring family.

Beverly was born December 4, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, a daughter to the late John and Fern (Kelly) Burmeister.

Beverly attended Preston Iowa schools and was a 1957 graduate of Preston High School.

On December 30, 1967, she was united in marriage to Stanley Alan Myers at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa. He survives at the home.

Beverly was employed as a teller at several banks in Kansas City, Muscatine, Iowa, Memphis, Missouri, and Jefferson City.

She was a member of Community Christian Church in Linn where she participated in Linn Women of Worship group, was a Sunday School Teacher, and sang in the church choir. Beverly was a 4-H leader, and was a member of the Women’s Club, Red Gadders, the Golden Girls, Linn Garden Club, Canasta Card Club, Legends Bank Advantage Club, and Friends of the Osage County Library.

Beverly enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting, cross stitching, reading, she could shop till you drop, loved birds and birdhouses. She always supported Stan’s aviation activities and was a dedicated Sons of Confederate Veterans members’ wife.

Beverly is described as the sweetest, kindest soul, and was loved and adored by all who knew her. She never met a stranger and always made a comfortable and cozy home that was always welcoming for all.

In addition to her spouse of 57 years, Beverly is survived by: two daughters, Deb Schmelzle of Loveland, CO, and Leslie Wolfe and her husband Jeff of Loose Creek; six grandchildren, Andrew (Rachel) Schmelzle of Fort Collins, CO., Ariel (Louis) Probst, Abbott (Madalyn) Shoop, Alec (Kelsey) Shoop, Dalton (Brooke) Wolfe, and Dakota (Tyler) Baumhoer; twelve great grandchildren, Sam Schmelzle, Ezra, Micah, and Luka Probst, Stevie Shoop, Jack Shoop, Bo, Dean, and Wade Wolfe, Liam, Harper, and Miles Baumhoer; one brother, David (Jan) Burmeister of Rockford, IL, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ferol and Dwayne Good of Joplin.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Community Christian Church in Linn with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Edinburg Baptist Church Cemetery near Memphis, Missouri.
