Bernice K. Kliethermes, age 90, of Linn, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Bernice was born on September 29, 1934, in Loose Creek, a daughter to the late Gerhard and Gertrude (Schlangenstein) Schaefer.

She was gifted at preparing delicious meals that the whole family enjoyed. When she wasn’t cooking and cleaning, she was a queen of the QVC shopping network! She took pride in a neat and tidy home, and appearance.

Bernice and Harry were especially fond of dancing, often where their daughter, Sharon, played and sang in a band. They met at a VFW dance! She and Harry traveled to Germany, Alaska, Hawaii, and numerous other states where family and friends lived.

In addition to Harry, her husband of sixty-nine years, Bernice is survived by her eleven children: Deborah Kliethermes of Camano Island, WA., Sharon Loesch of Linn, Rodney (Bonnie) Kliethermes of Linn, Dale (Mary Ruth) Kliethermes of Linn, Patrick (Tammy) Kliethermes of Linn, Curtis (Michelle) Kliethermes of Linn, Ken (Leslie) Kliethermes of Keller, TX., Dewayne (Kana) Kliethermes of Overland Park, KS., Annette Patterson of Jefferson City, Terry Kliethermes and friend Rhonda Elliott of Linn, and Tammy (Jason) Rew of Lee’s Summit; eighteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Pat) Schaefer of New Bloomfield; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
