Berneice E. Miller, age 78, of Linn, formerly of Chamois, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, surrounded by her loving family.
Berneice was born on May 27, 1945, in Chamois, a daughter to the late Lawrence and Elsie (Lamb) Boss.
Berneice attended Osage R-1 School in Chamois.
On March 20, 1971, she was united in marriage to Marvin M. Miller at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois. Marvin preceded her in death April 29, 1992.
Berneice was employed as a housekeeper at Autumn Meadows Nursing Home in Linn for 15 years until her retirment in 2016. She was curently cleaning at the Good Shephard Food Pantry.
Berneice was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn, where she also cleaned and helped at different events.
Berneice enjoyed shopping, flowers, gardening and canning. She loved to be outside and going for walks. Her greatestest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends.
Berneice is survived by five children, James (Sarah) Miller of Silver Springs, NV., Roger Miller of Holts Summit, Ruth Shadow of Iberia, Terry (Heather) Miller of of Portland OR., and Alan Miller of Linn; eight grandchildren, Caleb Miller, Toby Miller, Brady Miller, Shelby Miller, Harley Miller, Faith Mitchem, Dalton Shadow and Derick Shadow; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, and husband of 21 years, Berneice was preceded in death by a daugher, Lisa Miller, one son, Marvin Miller, Jr., and one brother, Alfred “Alfie” Boss, Sr.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Morton Chapel in Linn.
An additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. David Means as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Most Pure Heart of Mary Parish Cemetery in Chamois.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Family of Berneice Miller.
