Bernadine C. Meyerpeter

Bernadine C. Meyerpeter, age 87 of Rich Fountain, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Autumn Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility in Linn.

Bernadine was born October 17, 1922, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late Joseph and Catherine (Boessen) Scheulen.

She attended school at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Westphalia.

On October 22, 1947, she was united in marriage to Frank W. Meyerpeter in Westphalia. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1987.

Bernadine was a homemaker and helped her husband, Frank, run the family farm which she continued to do for many years by herself following his death.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain where she was a member of the Quilting Circle and St. Ann's Sodality. Bernadine was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Argyle as well as a member of the Catholic Knights. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, and reading.

Bernadine is survived by three nephews, one niece and their families.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Hubert Scheulen.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Philip Niekamp at the Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.
