Barbara Jean Turner

Barbara Jean Turner, age 84, of Linn, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Westphalia Hills in Westphalia.

Barbara was born on February 20, 1940, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late Huston and Rosetta (Smith) Turner.

Barbara was a 1958 graduate of Linden High School in Linden, Texas.

Barbara lived in Linden, Texas for forty years and she moved to Nashville for a short time before returning back to Linn. She was employed at Cole County Residential Service for 14 years until she retired. 

Barbara enjoyed adult coloring books, crossword puzzles, reading and enjoying the company of her dog, Misty.

Barbara is survived by several cousins especially her cousin and caregiver, Karen Dormire. Her sister, Patricia Yochum nieces Judy Turner, Anita Bergman, Deanna DeMauro and nephews Duane Bergman and Eddie Bergman. 

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by brothers, Bernard Turner, Bobby Zinnamon, Jimmy Zinnamon, and sisters, Emma Mae Bergman, Libby Owens.

 A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Ely Manor in Linn. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Woods Cemetery. 

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association.
