Anne P. Schmitz, 79 of Loose Creek, Mo, died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Mo.
She was born June 29, 1928 in Jefferson City to the late Frank and Josephine Kramer Haslag. Anne attended the Immaculate Conception School in Loose Creek. On May 13, 1948 she married Arthur J. Schmitz in Loose Creek, Mo. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1975.
Anne worked for McGraw Edison, Shop Smith, Tweedies Shoe Factory, International Shoe Factory, The Capital Plaza and Days Inn.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, dancing and volunteer work when anyone called. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek.
Anne is survived by one son, Daniel J. Schmitz and his wife, Nancy of Westphalia, Mo: one daughter Jeanette H. Fletcher of Loose Creek; one brother Harry Haslag of Springfield, Mo.; one sister Matilda Sommers of Wardsville, Mo., as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Haslag and Herman Haslag.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 4 p.m. 8 p.m. at Morton Chapel in Linn with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek, Mo. with Rev. Charles Pardee as Officiant. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, the Immaculate Conception School or to the Alzheimer's Ward at Golden Living Center, 3038 W Truman Blvd, Jefferson City, MO 65109
