Alice Marie Kliethermes

Alice Marie Kliethermes, age 79 of Linn, MO passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Autumn Meadows Skilled Care Facility in Linn.

She was born on February 22, 1929 in Linn to the late Frank and Anna (Wingrath) Voss.

Alice was a 1947 graduate of Linn High School. She then went to work at the Division of Employment Security in Jefferson City. On May 30, 1949 she was united in marriage to Lawrence H. Kliethermes in Linn. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2003.

For the next several years she was a homemaker. Alice then went to work at the Sears Catalog Store in Linn until her retirement.

Alice enjoyed card playing, crocheting, reading, puzzles, fishing and spending time with her family. She was a member of the St. George Church and St. Ann's Sodality.

Survivors include: two sons, Glenn F. and wife Benita Kliethermes of Holts Summit, Bruce E. and wife Carla Kliethermes of Taos; two daughters, Margie A. and husband Ronnie Frank of Linn, Shirley J. and husband Douglas Stephan of Linn; one brother, Clarence Voss of Linn; 7 grandchildren, Nikki Courtney, Brad Kliethermes, Travis Frank, Troy Frank, Kristen Kliethermes, Garrett Kliethermes and Jodi Snyder; 5 great grandchildren, Logan Courtney, Alexis Kliethermes, Braden Kliethermes, Collin Snyder and Elise Snyder and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Morton Chapel in Linn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at St. George Church with Fr. I.C. Medina as the Officiant. Interment will follow in the St. George Cemetery.
