Agnes Louise Voss

Agnes Louise Voss, age 88, of Columbia, formerly of Linn, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.

Agnes was born June 29, 1935, in Rich Fountain, a daughter to the late Lewis and Josephine (Berhorst) Klebba.

On May 23, 1953, she was united in marriage to Wilbert John Voss at St. George Catholic Church in Linn. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2013.

Agnes was a homemaker and a member of St George Catholic Church in Linn, St Ann’s Sodality, and VFW Post 4756 Ladies Auxiliary.

Agnes enjoyed embroidery, gardening, baking, cooking, and doing word search puzzles.  She was an avid reader and played card games.

Agnes is survived by one son, Gordon Voss and his wife Leila of Rogersville; two daughters, Gale Zitnik and her husband Dave of St. Petersburg, FL and Gay Guffey of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Daniel Zitnik, Matthew Zitnik, Jeremy Voss, Joshua Guffey and his wife Megan, Jasmine Jones, William Voss and Trystin Voss; five great grandchildren, Peyton, River and Hunter Guffey and Ava and Louis Voss; two sisters, Marie Morfeld of Linn and Lillian Cassmeyer of Westphalia as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents and spouse of 60 years, Agnes was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwen Voss; three brothers, Louis “Jr.” Klebba, Eugene “Bert” Klebba and Harold “Bud” Klebba as well as one sister, Janet Nichols.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Morton Chapel in Linn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn with Fr. Anthony Rinaldo as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. George Parish Cemetery in Linn.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to St George Cemetery.
